In mid-March 2017, Bowmore No. 1 was launched on the market. This whisky is a tribute to 1779 founded and to this day the oldest whisky warehouse in Scotland. The cellar vault has been partially below sea level for more than 230 years. Strong surf and rough Atlantic climate demand a lot from the precious Scotch whisky casks - but that again makes them very special.

The No. 1 Malt matures in the cellar vault, which bears the name "No. 1 Vaults", in first-fill bourbon casks. The packaging, with its subtle, natural hues, is reminiscent of the distillery's massive wooden gate and white stone walls.
