This violet edition of the classic Pisang Ambon also contains guaraná berries and limes. Originally from Indonesia, the recipe for Pisang Ambon was brought by a soldier to the Netherlands in 1948, where the banana-based liqueur is now produced by Bols. Pisang is the Indonesian word for banana, Ambon is the capital of the Indonesian province of Maluku.
